Alright, if you don't know me yet, this is probably not a good idea. There are safe places out there for you. Otherwise, here's what I've been up to.

OhmyGod! OhmyGod! OhmyGod! OhmyGod!
Sarah Smiles is now officially Secretary of the Undead/Ministar za nemrtve
of Cyber Yugoslavia. It is official!
CY has 13817 citizens, an area of 0 m2.

This is Cyber Yugoslavia. Home of Cyber Yugoslavs. We lost our country in 1991 and became citizens of Atlantis. Since  September 9, 1999 this is our home. We don't have a physical land, but we do have nationality, and we are giving  CY citizenships and CY passports. Because this is Atlantis, we are allowing double and triple citizenships. If you feel Yugoslav, you are welcome to apply for CY citizenship, regardless of your current nationality and citizenship, and you will be accepted. Please read our Constitution for the details. If you are just curious, you are welcome to visit us as tourists.

This land will grow as our citizens wish. Neither faster, nor slower. Neither more, nor less. So, this site will always be under construction. For a solid country to grow, even a virtual one, it takes some time.

When we have five million citizens, we plan to apply to the UN for member status. When this happens, we will ask 20 square meters of land anywhere on Earth to be our country. On this land, we'll keep our server.

Spent the night jawing with SG, Buddha, miao and traveller in various locations. Made me feel better. It made up for the miserable holidays. And my poem is not coming together. Title and first sentence are good, but nothing to come after.

_Liquid Continuum._
My fond heart rakes the coals
of your smoldering regret softly
dislodging ashen memories that
loft on our labored breath.

Bram Tchaikovsky (born Peter Bramall) began playing in local pub-rock bands in Lincolnshire, England, in the late '60s. He joined The Motors in 1977 and was relegated to mere sideman status by the nucleus of the band, songwriters Andy McMaster and Nick Garvey. While waiting on pre-production work for the second Motors album, Tchaikovsky took the opportunity to do some recording of his own. The resulting single, "Sarah Smiles," drew enough interest for him to leave The Motors and form his own band. In addition to its leader, the band Bram Tchaikovsky consisted of Mike Broadbent (bass, keyboards) and Keith Boyce (drums). They signed to the new Radar label in 1978 along with Stiff expatriates Nick Lowe and Elvis Costello. The band showed a great deal of promise with their first album Strange Man Changed Man, fitting in nicely with the growing power-pop movement. The unforgettable "Girl of My Dreams," a true high point of the time, became a minor hit on both sides of the Atlantic. Tchaikovsky continued on through rapid personnel changes for two more albums, The Russians Are Coming (Released in the U.S. as Pressure) in 1980 and Funland in 1981. A considerable drop in sales prompted Tchaikovsky to dissolve the band and retire from the music.
And one of these blokes is Bram

A brief thought:
Mysterious, fallen brown grey guilt leaves of smiles waft gently from cries earthward.

I know I need to sleep, but this Death Bed is just tooooo much. Actually, I'm looking about for artwork for my page, but I think that I need to just make my own. It would be better than putting a picture of myself online. Don't you think?

One thing I hate about blogging with only today's post on this page, is that it looks so lonely. I guess that that means I had better do more work daily, or change to a bigger font. Yes, bigger font. That's the ticket.
I updated my most recent poem on the poetry page. It is called "Decayed Expectations". I re-edited it, and broke the 50 odd lines up into stanzas. I think it is a less nasty read like that. I always put my newest poetry at the bottom of the poetry page, so have a look. I should force spazz to do more, but aside from helping me out and editing, he seems to have fallen into a black hole. Whatever works for him.
Excuse me whilst I waddle about tonight. I'm feeling a bit stuffed, trying to prove that drinking more than 2 cups of blood is impossible. I win.

Thanks to SG, I located _the giaour_ a vampiric extract | lord byron. He claims it is better than Stoker. I could care less. It is interesting and a good read. That's it.

Weekly Thought

Ok, then the next question. Assuming that drinking blood is not much more difficult than uncorking your local doner, if Vampires have to be un-dead... how do you account for yourself?
Choose one of the following reasons defining yourself as un-dead or a revenant.
1) I was dead, and I'm back.
2) Accident that did or probably did render me temporarily dead.
3) Death is just a state of mind, and I moved to that state.
4) According to this is not necessary.
5) Let's not go there.
6) I'm not sure.

Ok, I admit that the image to the left is NOT that of an alien vampire. But then again, what is?
I got asked the question, again, "What is a vampire?" So I made up a list of questions based around the notion that there are some basic criteria for a vampire.
1) Vampires must be un-dead or a revenant;
2) Vampires must drink blood to continue animated existence, or they're merely just undead, or ex-vampires, or expires for short;
3) Vampires must get blood from humans or animals, not from the kitchen.
4) Those who don't meet criterian 1-3 are something else.
That's about it. It leaves a lot open to conjecture. It leaves a lot open to superstition, mystery, the occult, mag/jic/k. Everyone I know could fit into those criteria. But for god's sake, we have to have guidelines.
