You just have to wonder what you should do when a girl is sitting across from you playing with the camera in her lap. Perhaps she’s taking pictures!!!

I don’t eat saussages, preferring my meats to be still live, but I do appreciate their comedic beauty as a still life composition. Out of the grinder and into a new skin. Frozen and thawed. On display and ready for consumption. Hey, I think I’m talking about the fashion industry…

Back in Gare de Lyon on my way home. I took millions of pictures, but this one I like. You know, if I had a choice between airport security and train station security, you know what I’d pick? I don’t need some chubby d00d with a wand, having to take off my boots, and worry that someone’s stealing my stuff in the xray machine… No, I want a boy in a uniform with a big honking gun showing me where I can get a newspaper. Note that I don’t know of a single train station in France where they have lockers or the ability to check your luggage. Too many little packages were left behind. Boom.

There’s that sense that people don’t go anywhere when they travel. When you’re never disconnected, when you’re never on your own, how can you ever leave? If you never leave, have you ever traveled?

I love train stations… they are the ultimate public location for me. You can look into everyone’s life, and sometimes participate. People are really traveling, not imprisoned in an airplane, or driven mad by the chaos of the highway. There’s sophistication in rail travel that there is almost nowhere else.

This is an image from my pixies page that reflects how the sensual everyday images in the kitchen can be. I’m always looking for the sensual angle in unexpected places.
