This guy looked like he was going to walk over and beat me with his baguette. Perhaps it was what I was wearing that day. Headscarfs and cameras may be a bad mix. Hee hee. This was somewhere in the first or second arrondissement (part of the unesco “World Heritage Site” section of Lyon).

This was taken in the TGV station at Aeroport Lyon Saint Exupery. It reminds me the continual need I have to move from A to B, even if I was just at B last week. The experiences of the past couple of days has made me want to get away from people, or at least from people I feel I need to interact with. This photograph says it all… in transit.

Achimp posted something on her LJ about growing old, and I immediately thought of this picture I took last January. Everyone was wearing hats and scarves, and this funky old woman was just doing her biz. I walked past her a couple of times before I took this picture. I envy her attitude, style and energy. I hope I’m something like her when I get old.

I loved watching this image in the night. There were 6 of us sharing bunks in a youth hostel in Budapest I think. Four were me mates, and I can’t remember the name of this girl. Amanda, I think. Me being a non-sleeper at the best of times killed a couple of hours before dawn snapping pictures in the dead city. This was the best.
