Man of Action
A rumbled trust growls deep; barrel chested voice
confident, unquestioning of variable truths or meanings;
unconcerned with ulterior alterities or liminal ‘facts.
No paralytic notions elicit questions for reflection
to deter the waking lion with a mission to fulfill.
In this micro-maniacial moment  you do nothing
but say, “I see…” as you slowly awaken from
an eternity-like slumbering repose , shaking dust
and leaf from your beard, and fixing your good eye
on the goal beyond the horizon, move to act.

When love died, laughter paved the way,
coating all our passion with mutual regard,
reducing regrets to giggles.
Love can still be,
even when it dies.
Love has many faces
when you’ve cleared away the likes

Petrified Forest.

Our love cannot exist, ever or forever.
All tears are possibilities.
All tears are love,
both unrequited and consummated.
Each verse of dead poetry,
each line of legal authorization
speaks to an entitlement eternal;
of bliss or damnation.

My heart. My revenant flesh;
a forest long dead–
petrified, putrified, puerile and prolonged.

Until that instance. The moment
just in time when I saw your face,
streaked with smiling tears. When we
met in an incomprehensible intersection,
between our lost souls, where you could
inspire eternal joy and I could enable it
with eternal oblivion.

Here’s the little boy again. In the town square, oblivious to everything but sleep and his bun.

I swear this doggie knew what I was doing. I admit I stopped much longer than I usually do, but after I took this picture, he got up and followed me for about three stores, before walking back into his. I just liked the baby in her outfit.

These bike boys were so cute… when they caught up with me and my camera, they circled around whooping. But it was the end of the day, and my card was full. I only got a couple of them, of which this one worked.

Some funky guy…

Another from a cafe in Vence, Provence on a sunny winter’s day. He seemed to be too pleased that I was looking his way. Little did he know that I’d have his soul trapped in my little box.
